Poirot & Santa Claus 2009

早くも師走に突入ですね。今年も残り少なくなってきました。この季節、アメリカはどこもかしこもクリスマスの飾りつけなどで華やいだ雰囲気。周りの人もみんなちょっとそわそわしているというか、浮き足立って落ち着かない感じです。

この時期のショッピングモールなどに行くと、サンタクロースに扮した人が子供達と一緒に写真を撮ってくれるという (有料の) サービスがあります。みんな毎年記念に撮っているのか、いつも親子連れで賑わっています。もちろんペットにも同様のサービスが！といってもモールではなくペットショップなどでですが。

It's already December!  Everyone around me seems a bit excited for the holiday season.  Around this time of the year you can have a picture of your child with the Santa Claus taken at many shopping malls .  Similar services are available for pets as well, but of course not in malls but in pet shops and some other places.

これは Poirot が週に1, 2回行く犬の保育園で撮ったものを基にして去年作った X'mas カード。料金は確か$20 だったと思うのですが、そのほとんどは寄付されるので納得です。今年も今週末に撮影会があるので、行く予定。写真ができたらまたアップします! This picture was taken last year at the day care that Poirot goes once or twice weekly (I made X'mas cards out of it).  I believe the fee was $20, most of which was donated to an animal shelter.  This year we'll go again and get some pictures this Sunday.  I'll upload them next week!
